Getting to a hospital on time in Kathmandu is less about distance and more about what the roads are actually like. This study will test whether OpenStreetMap’s road network is accurate enough to model real drive-time healthcare access in Kathmandu District -using ride-sharing platforms like Pathao and InDrive as the transport mode and actual GPS-tracked trips to validate the results. The goal is to determine whether OSM data meets the standard Nepal’s Ministry of Health needs for district-level planning.
