France is part of the Schengen area, so getting to it is open to all Europeans without any visa. Foreigners can find more information about the visa process and related details on france-visas.gouv.fr.

Request for Invitation Letter

If you require an invitation letter in order to attend State of the Map 2026 (for any purpose, but primarily to support your visa application), you may send us a request for an invitation letter. Below is the information you should provide in this request:

Full name of visa applicant, as it appears on the passport (surname in capitals)
Residential address, including country
Date of birth (optional)
Passport number (optional)
Profession (optional)
Work address, including country (if applicable)
Title of accepted SotM 2026 talk/workshop, if applicable
Name and full address (including country) of embassy/consulate where the visa application will be made
